Delta State: Veteran Actor RMD In N50m Embezzlement Saga

Veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo is making the headlines again and it’s not because of his appearance of in another high profile soap.
His integrity as the Delta State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism is seriously being questioned as he has been accused of looting N50 million belonging to the ministry.
RMD is accused of conniving with the General Manager of Delta state’s Tourism Board, Miss Philo Nkem Ajufo while he attempted to keep the account’s treasury open until thinking off holding back an amount of money that has been available since the ‘Delta Expo 2007’.
There is no proof but there was a chain of irregular activities under subsequent administrations.  However, it was learnt that the state government could not approve the said amount that same year for some reasons.
The source said the funds were eventually approved and released to the ministry of tourism under the leadership of Damijo in May, 2012.
‘As soon as the money arrived, the commissioner said that the ministry could no longer hold the event since six years had elapsed’, a source said
‘The Honourable Commissioners also argued that Deltans would have forgotten about the event – and therefore the money should not be used for the purpose it was released’, the source added.
Some documents obtained by newsmen from the Delta State Ministry of Finance reportedly show that the N50 million must be spent on the event for which the Culture Ministry applied for it.
The warrant, which was signed by one P.O. Evuojapha on behalf of the Commissioner of Finance indicates that N35 million of the funds was meant for the Tourism Board.
Insiders however said that Damijo allegedly conspired to issue a cheque of N35m in the name of the General Manager of the state’s Tourism Board, Ms. Ajufo who allegedly deposited the sum into her First Bank private account number 3006131619.
‘Mrs. Ajufo and RMD then shared the money’, our sources alleges; insisting Ms. Ajufo allegedly used her share of the looted funds to start off a twin duplex building located at No.6 Dunkwu Crescent, Asaba in June, 2012.
The twin complex we gathered is behind Junior Staff quarters and opposite one of the branches of Redeemed Christian Church (RCCG) in the state.
The source further said that tourism board’s members had denied receiving any of the embezzled funds.
‘She accused Mr. Mofe Damijo of carting away the whole sum of N50 million even when her account was used to commit the fraud’.
The actor-turned-politician denies all the allegations levelled against him and maintains he’s a silent mouth throughout the whole drama.

Tonto Dike Crazily In Love With Terry G

A few months back when the thespian, Tonto Dikeh came out with her maiden musical effort, quite a lot of her fans frowned at that effort.

When I was asked to review Tonto's debut singles, I did not join people to abuse it, I only criticized the producer who was supposed to have corrected her and apply some touches of aesthetic and professionalism into the songs.

Today, despite all the rumbles, vibes and jives the song generated, Tonto, musically, is in hot romance with Terry G as she has just been featured in his new single entitled 'Crazically Fit' produced by Terry G himself.

No doubt, Tonto's delivery in this song will definitely keep her critics at bay.

This is another wonder for the street that you need to listen to.

Imo Govt. Offers Cash Reward For Nkiru Sylvanus' Whereabouts

“The Government of Imo State is aware of the kidnap of the Special Assistant on Public Affairs, Nkiru Sylvanus. All security agencies in the state are doing everything possible to get her back safely.

“The kidnappers have made contact with certain government officials. Government will offer a substantial reward to anyone with useful information about her whereabouts"

Styl Plus moves on as Tunde exits

After working for nine years as an R&B group – STYL Plus will be saying goodbye to one of its founder members Tunde Akinsanmi. Over the weekend, the news of Tunde leaving to pursue a solo career hit the ‘blogosphere’. The group has now told b1mag that Tunde is leaving, but STYL Plus is not ‘breaking up’.
We owe it to our fans to clear the air on this matter. In the process of working towards a collective vision, in this vein, Tunde Akinsanmi has decided to pursue a solo career and delve into other ventures that are not Styl-Plus’s priority at the moment‘, a rep for the group and One Management said in a statement.
The statement says the group’s musical projects will go on as usual: Shifi and Zeal say they’ll be releasing a new single titl
ed ‘Tonight’ (Ale-Oni) in the coming weeks. They are also warming up to release new singles produced by the likes of Wizboyy, TK and Landlord
We thank all the fans and media whose unwavering support we have enjoyed so far and continue to enjoy‘, they added.
STYL Plus launched into the mainstream back in 2003 but their musical journey started way long before then; the group was originally formed in the ’90s by Shifi Emoefe, Tunde Akinsanmi, Yemi Akinwonmi, and Lanre Faneyi giving birth to the initial name STYL.
In 1999, Faneyi passed away. A young singer Zeal Onyecheme replaced him; rebranding the group’s name to STYL Plus. Three years later Akinwonmi left.
In 2003, the group released their first set of singles – ‘Olufunmi’ and ‘Runaway’ which remain evergreen. In 2006, they released their first studio album ‘Expressions‘, which included the hits – ‘Imagine that‘, ‘Always on my mind‘, ‘Drive me crazy‘, and ‘Iya Basira‘.
Going on a small hiatus, they returned in 2008 with the club hit ‘Four years’ off their ‘Back and Better‘ album.

TUNDE LEAVES STYL-PLUS

Unable to reclaim the glory of their good days, Tunde of Styl-Plus has left the group. The group which comprised of Tunde, Shiffi and Zeal set female hearts a-melting with their hit track ‘Olufunmi‘. That album was a massive success but the same cannot be said about the subsequent album they released. Since then, their singles have been greeted with a less than lukewarm attitude.

Tired of the downward slide, Tunde has decided to leave the group and go solo. Hence forth, he would be known as NativeBoy. Word reaching us is that he has recorded a few single that would soon be released. He has also started a new record label by the name of B.A.T Records. Will Tunde be able to reclaim the former glory that former group Styl-Plus seeks so desperately? That remains to be seen.

Nigerian Actress Nkiru Sylvanus Kidnapped in Imo State | N100 Million Ransom Demanded

Barely one week after the kidnap of Prof. Kanene Okonjo, mother of Nigeria’s Finance Minister Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, another kidnap case is being reported in Imo State. Kidnappers in Owerri, the State capital, have reportedly abducted Nkiru Sylvanus, an actress and a special assistant on public relations to the Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha.

Sources at the Imo state government house told B1 magazine reporter that Ms. Sylvanus was in the company of three others when she was snatched and driven away around 8:30 PM on Saturday. She was reportedly abducted close to the famous Concord Hotel, Owerri.

It was learnt that the abductors have established contact with her family and have demanded a ransom of N100 million for her release. However, other sources say the ransom was demanded from the state government.

The governor’s aide was reported to have been taping an episode of a public relations show, “Inside Imo” which was expected to air on national television, when she was taken away in Owerri.

The police and other security agencies in the state have begun a search for the lady.

We pray she is found and in good health and is reunited with her family soon.

FG To Ban Postinor 2 – girls what next?

News went viral on the micro blogging network Twitter that the Federal Government was planning to ban popular morning after pill, Postinor 2. Subs flew around especially at singer 2face, people launched into hysterics against the ban, Postinor 2 trended all over twitter but the stark truth of the matter was that there was an ominous cloud hanging over the heads of Postinor 2 loyal users all over the country. If indeed the rumour was true, what would be the alternative for Postinor 2? What effect would the banning of the drug have on the youth?
Early this year, the Federal Government expressed its concerns over the country’s growing population. There were talks that the Government was putting stops in place to ensure that childbirth was controlled to its barest minimum. Now we hear that the Government plans to ban Postinor 2, a drug which may have very well controlled the population growth especially amongst the young hot blooded youth.
According to sources representing the government, the reason for the intending ban on the drug are its side effects which according to research is nausea, abdominal pains, fatigue, breast tenderness, dizziness headaches and in the most grievous of cases, a temporal imbalance of your menstrual circle. All these effects are supposed to last for about 24 hours
According to sources representing the government, the reason for the intending ban on the drug are its side effects which according to research is nausea, abdominal pains, fatigue, breast tenderness, dizziness headaches and in the most grievous of cases, a temporal imbalance of your menstrual circle. All these effects are supposed to last for about 24 hours. What is so health altering as to ban the drug?!?Sad as it is,the frequency of use of the drug is highly indicative of the high state of immorality amongst the youths but really, what is the alternative? Prior to the popularity of this drug, the usually course of action was to wait to determine if there was a pregnancy and if there was, the next step was abortion. Abortion may seem in this instance as a more grievous sin as it involves the murder of a living, breathing soul. This, in my opinion does not seem like a better deal. After all they say prevention is better than cure.
Is there another reason for the Federal Government’s ban of the product? Will this do anything to increased growth in population which the Federal Government is trying to contain? Is abortion going to be the only next alternative? Does the government think their policies through before delivering them? These are but a few questions that we need to think on….. courtesy  Etertainment news

Omotola Jalade Denies Butt Lift Surgery

Nollywood diva, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has debunked the news going rounds that she did surgery to lift her butt,a special cosmetic surgery procedure to lift bum thereby making it fuller and sexier.

Omotola Jalade’s bum lift rumour started circulating when she was spotted at an event on Toyin Street in Ikeja Lagos recently.

Omosexy, as she is fondly called, took people's breath away with her sexy package even a Buddhist monk would have renounced his vows just to have a roll in the hay with her.

According to a source, “The Omotola we used to know was shapely not as bootylicious as this. But the dimension of her bum today is just awesome! Look at how flat her tummy is. Combine that with the size of her hips and you have a sex goddess. It all suggests that she must have had a bum lift. What we are seeing today is the product of cosmetic surgery; bum enhancement. There is no way she can deny it; she’s definitely had a bum lift,”

However, a close insider told us that Omotola didn’t get any bum lift procedure, it’s just her natural physique as a result of weight gain.

“Omotola is a callipygian by nature. That is her real physique. What makes it so obvious now is that she has added a little weight.

People should stop spreading rumours. Okay, if she could do a bum lift, why not breast enlargement as well because we all know she has rather small boobs. That tells you it’s all rumours.”

Before you corrupt your mind, this picture is not a photoshop but a photoshoot of a commercial the actor shot for VUZU entertainment TV, which landed him the 11million naira deal in South Africa.

As the face of the TV station and part of his deal, Pawpaw had to shoot this commercial for the TV channel. Pint-sized man doing great things for himself. A lesson for others to learn from.

MALEKE RAISES N6M FOR KIDNEY PATIENT

The popular comic act and musician in the Niger Delta region, Idowu Moye, a.k.a Maleke has raised over N6 million for a Benin artist, Esohe Osagiede who is suffering from a kidney ailment. Esohe has been suffering the problem for some time now but unfortunately for the family, they were unable to raise the N8 million required by an Indian hospital for the treatment until Maleke got to know about the patient's predicament.

However, Maleke who originally organised the occasion which was supposed to be the launch of his new album, having invited Nigerian Musicians such as Tuface Idibia, Abdulkarim and others, turned the event to a fund raising for the ailing Esohe and totally ignore to benefit anything for his album launch.

He said, “I know I spent millions of naira to organise the occasion which was originally planned for the launch of my new album but luckily for us, all my friends that came made donations and at least we were able to raise N6 million.

We wish a lot of Nigeria could have this kind of mindset, the society would have been a better place for all to live in.
